Azijska trešnja/Rosebud cherry

Not a native European cherry (Prunus cerasus), this is east Asian species and it's a cultivated form with full flowers. Grows in Botanical garden here, together with other exotic cherries.

cherries were in full bloom this sunday...i was glad Botanical garden was opened twoo weeks earlier than usual - we had a warm winter.

I'm on the other side of the world. Summer just ended but Autumn is hotter ;_;

Botanical gardens are pretty, this one seems very nice :)

we have two big ones in Zagreb: one is on the Faculty of Science and has all kinds of native Croatian and decorative plants, another is on the Faculty of Pharmacy and has mainly medical, poisonous and edible plants. I worked in both :)

glad you like it. in this case, insects in all photos were just there, i did not really notice them until i downloaded the photos to my computer. and i did take some 300+ photos that day :D
